Hello, I’m Gael,
I’m a qualified counsellor living and working in Edinburgh.
I’ve worked as a psychotherapist for 5 years. In 2023 I completed my doctorate where I researched ways of working therapeutically with loss and trauma. I now work at the University of Edinburgh as a teaching fellow.
That’s a brief overview of me, as a professional, and here’s a bit about me, as a person:
I’m in my early thirties.
My pronouns are she/her.
I’m a friend, ally, sister, inclusive-feminist, partner, and cat-mum.
I like board games, outdoor swims, and homemade GF pizza.
I’m not confident when it comes to exercise or fashion.
I grew up on the outskirts of a little village in England.
I spent most of my twenties living on Jagera land, in Brisbane, Australia.
This introduction doesn’t fully capture ‘me’… perhaps because I’m made up of multiple fragments which don’t fit neatly together in a short introduction, and it’s okay if you are too.
